It is in Fécamp (Normandy) that Didier Cramoisan was born in 1957, and educated. He then went on to Rouen University to study Applied languages (English and German), as well as Public Relations, doing his final years at the famous Paris IV – Sorbonne where he graduated with two Master’s degrees. From 1980 to 1984, Didier Cramoisan worked as assistant to the export manager of an automobile subcontractor, Rockwell International. Fascinated by the world of art and antiques, he joined Bernard Dragesco in 1985 at his Paris gallery in the rue de Beaune. Together they formed a very complementary and successful partnership.
Didier’s keen eye and intuitive sense of quality proved to be the perfect complement to Bernard’s scholarly knowledge. When visiting the gallery, clients are usually welcomed by Didier Cramoisan who is in charge of the day to day running of the business as well as client relations and marketing.
He was for a number of years on the board of the Carré Rive Gauche, the local antiques trade association, before being elected president in 2015 and 2016. He is now on the board of the Parcours de la Céramique et des Arts du Feu, the organiser of a noted antique ceramics, glass and enamel festival and seminar, held every year in September.
A classical music lover, Didier Cramoisan is also a keen gardener and a devoted animal rights supporter.
